Blog challenge: Day 3

Day 3

Natalie has asked us to describe what freedom in business means to us, and adventure in life.

Firstly the freedom in business I will relate to a ‘flexibility’ that I need for my children.  They do so many sporting and other activities – and so I would like my business to give us the flexibility to spend time with them and supporting them in their lives. I would like to be able to leave my work for a morning if they had a sports day at school or similar.

And Adventure in life is something very important to me.  I get panicky at the thought of living a dull or un-interesting life.   We get one life to live – and we pass through only once, we have to make the most of it.  I feel like this blog challenge is waking me up to this fact again.

30 day challenge

30 day Blog Challenge : Day 2

My head is spinning with this blog.  A whole new world has opened up and I can see the benefit of blogging.  I can see also that my business will take off using Natalie’s Suitcase Entrepreneur wisdom and ideas.

So I should perhaps use this blog as a business venture and start another blog for my personal life.  That is it – I will use this to promote my Personal Training Business and online running coaching.  And to follow the 30 day Blog Challenge too.

Day 2 Challenge Questions:

  • I do believe that I am worthy of love, happiness and success, but I must admit there are frequently times when I doubt myself.  I struggle a bit with self confidence, but I am working on this.
  • I definitely do have a lot to offer the world
  • Yes – I have valuable knowledge and skills.
  • Yes! I am capable of running my own business
  • I SO BADLY want to create a business that I love and am so passionate about.
  • I have had these dreams for a very long time

As a Personal Trainer I have so much to learn and will do so constantly as I go along, but I feel that I have so much to offer and I hope to inspire and make a difference in people’s lives, helping them to achieve their goals. I would like to work from home, but I am beginning to realise that this business can operate virtually too.

GetFit Challenge

Today the GetFit Challenge came to an end.  I have really loved the 8 weeks that I took part in the challenge, and I have learnt so much.  I do feel that I am stronger, and I know the extra strength will benefit my running.  I haven’t lost any weight, but that is due to the fact that I had just completed Comrades the week before the challenge started, and so was quite lean then.  I need to get my running mileage up a notch and hopefully my extra few kgs will come off. The challenge is now to maintain this strength and build on it.

5th August

I ran my usual 10km (Abery/Haygarth) this morning at 5am. It was really hard to get out of bed, and get myself there. I had been awake with an active mind since 3am. But as always, I am so glad I got out and ran. And always so much easier when meeting other people. I feel so incredibly unfit, and carrying an extra 3kgs does seem to make a big difference. I am determined to lose the winter coat and to get my fitness back up where it was 2 months ago. However I do think that a 2 month break after Comrades has been important. I don’t know how the elite runners manage to keep on training at such an intensity without breaking down. I now have to work very hard to get my running going again. My right hamstring is also worrying me. I do think that some proper stretching and perhaps Yoga will help immensely. I need to go back to yoga.

It is late

And I am learning how to do this blog thing. But a little quote caught my eye..

“Oh, the places you’ll go…
You’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So… get on your way!”
― Dr. Seuss

So on that note I will head off to bed.
